ENGLISH WITH CRISTINA

1
LESSON ONE:
A PUPIL PERONIST LOVES OTHER PERONIST...

Hello. My name's Angeles and I'm a worker and peronist. I'm 23 and I'm not married. I live in a flat in San Justo, La Matanza. I want to learn English because my boyfriend is from London and he is Peronist too, so I want to send him the information but not which Clarín says. He is zoologist and will come to Argentina to study Gorilla´s life.

LESSON TWO:
THE PUPIL PERONIST LEARN WHAT PRESIDENT DOES...

President Cristina Fernández announced last night that she plans to send to Congress this Friday a project to regulate the newsprint production and administration, as informed by Télam.

The President also confirmed her Government’s decision to foster a court investigation on how the Papel Prensa newsprint company was purchased by its present owners during the past military dictatorship.

“I believe that the judiciary together with Congress shall guarantee to all citizens the freedom of expression, while the Executive complies with its duty to send the necessary documents to the other State powers. We shall prove hat it is a system that works”, added he President.

”This system is called democracy, with a division of powers and the guarantee that monopolies shall not be above the citizens”, Cristina explained.

The President regretted not having had before her Tuesday message some of the information printed on Thursday by the daily Tiempo Argentino, regarding Isidoro Graiver, who last June made statements that totally contradicted an advertising he published two days ago in the newspapers Clarín and La Nación, regarding Papel Prensa.

"That testimony carried by Tiempo Argentino is a confirmation of everything that happened and of what we said in our report”, Cristina said.

”Today I read an old Clarín article dated in Oct. 1976 saying that (the late former Economy Minister Jose Ber) Gelbard should be arrested. Five days later the military regime ordered Gelbard’s arrest. On that same day, Nov. 2, Lidia Papaleo de Graiver was pressured to sign the sale of the Papel Prensa shares”, she stated.

These are elements that the judiciary shall have to evaluate. And it will be up to Congress to guarantee through a law equal access to the newsprint production to all the country’ newspapers”, Cristina commented.

The President said that “a sort of Consultive Board should be formed with all the newspapers, to guarantee to them the access to this basic product, which should be declared an issue of public interest”.
